Thank you for reading our letter. We admire both your strength and courage as you make this decision for your child. We are beyond grateful to be considered as adoptive parents.
Gary and Joy met in high school and began dating right after Joy graduated from high school. We have been together for 15 years, and we just celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary.
Gary is 36 years old and works as a landscape construction foreman, and has been with his company for 18 years. Gary played hockey in high school. In his free time, he enjoys watching his beloved Pittsburgh Penguins games. We try to go to one or two games per season.
Joy is 32 years old and works in customer service. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, reading, and catching up with family and friends. Growing up Joy participated in gymnastics and baton. Joy is very loving and nurturing. Joy has always been around children. She is very involved with their nieces and nephews and attends many of their school and sport events.
In August of 2013 we were blessed with the birth of our daughter Abbigail. Abbigail came to us through the miracle of adoption. We have the upmost respect for birth mothers and have an open adoption with Abbi’s birth mother. Abbi is a fun, spunky toddler and we look forward to her entering her new role as “big sister”.
We live in a rural area, about 45 minutes outside the city. Together as a family we enjoy traveling, playing outside, swimming, trips to the zoo and just being together as a family. We have a large extended family near by with lots of cousins and aunts and uncles.
Once again, we thank you for your consideration.
Gary, Joy and Abigail
